How sad! America does not know black people at all apparently and has no clue about our true stereotypical aspects.

After reading the article, I realize that they are still ignorant.
It states the black girls are weaker swimmers than boys.

Of course they are! Chlorine to a black woman's hair is like cryptonite to Superman. This is why black people don't swim because our matriarchs hate the water due to aesthetic reasoning. More than 50% of black children are raised by single black mothers who consequently hate the swimming pool.

What's wrong with this photo

I'm conflicted on this one. I can see both sides of the argument. My final thoughts are that people should get over it and that it could have been done classier(if ratings weren't the number 1 aspect).

First of all Vogue is a Woman's magazine. The psychological affect is different on them then on men. It was probably a man who complained. This doesn't anger (all) women. Black women would get mad because they don't want to see any blackman touching a white woman so it wouldn't matter how they posed. Sistas would get mad regardless and were looking for a fault so they could act. At the same time, sistas don't read Vogue so they probably don't even know about it.

Sensitive black folks(like myself) are very concerned over the way bruthas are portrayed and displayed. We don't like to see any Blackman looking like an animal, stupid, or threatening. How many times have you seen a brutha in a suit on the cover of a magazine? You have seen one in uniform many times though. None of the other athletes are in uniform for the other photos. Lastly, the picture looks a little King-Kongish and Giselle looks like that little white girl King Kong was obsessed with.

Now that I think about it, some white people may be upset too. Any images alluding to Mandingo or black man physical prowess while in the presence of an attractive caucasian female upsets people. Not me though, I like to see the boundaries pushed.

So I say let it go and move on. It could be perceived as tasteless and for ratings but definitely not malicious.

I agree with you Mr Pohl. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that too often. I can't stand it when people let their children run around the facility unmonitored let alone their dog Mr. Biggles.

Yeah, the league is shady. But if you're scared go to church, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it. The league is consistently shady, so nothing is surprising.

How did the talk go?
The one with my manager-
He thanked me and appreciated my skill set. He said that he would write me a letter of recommendation if I need one. I know he wouldn't write such a letter if he didn't think I was good. He said anytime he asked someone about working with me, the response was always "great". Steve L refused to be a reference for Terrell when he laid him off, so based upon what my boss said I did a great job and shouldn't blame myself.

With wifey- She was cool when I told her at 6pm, then got real testy around 9pm, and then blew up at 2am with a kick punch knee combo in my side. She's cool now though and is determined to get me a job.

The search is going. There are quite a few jobs available that I can do, so that's a good thing. I am about to start using my cover letters as weapons though.
