I wish people would give Hoculi a break. Did he make an awful call and cost the Bolts the game...absolutely. But, you can't tell me he didn't man up. He admitted his mistake...he is crucifying himself and actually responding to his hate mail and death threats. Let's be honest here, he is arguably one of the best refs in the game. He and Mike Carey have to be #1 and #2 (in no particular order), he explains the rules on calls and is a master of his craft. Compare this to NBA refs tanking games, MLB umps being plain bad, and Soccer refs doing whatever Soccer refs do...I mean c'mon they actually fall for those fake injuries.
In the most important game, the game of life, Ed and his pipes are true pros. They owned up to their mistake and took responsibility.

Haters will Hate redux
As I mentioned before, the world is full of hater sleeper cells. They hide underground waiting for the next opportunity to cause chaos.
The government's issues with steroids has been recently focused on two New York Yankees in Pettitte and Clemons. Young Hank Steinbrenner can't take the heat so he started blaming.
Football already has been in front of Congress, and they had policy in place from the beginning. Straight Hatin!!!!!

"Everybody that knows sports knows football is tailor-made for performance-enhancing drugs. I don't know how they managed to skate by. It irritates me. Don't tell me it's not more prevalent. The number in football is at least twice as many. Look at the speed and size of those players."

New York, New York
The Mets are as stacked as their counterpart Yankees.
Take Santana and add him to a staff that already has my boy Pete.
I'm not mad at the Mets. I like them simply for the fact that they dealt with Dwight Gooden and Darryl on the same team. That must have been almost too much to bear.

Best Pitcher in Baseball Dealt
Very rarely does the best pitcher- let alone left handed- on the planet is traded from a major league baseball team. and the fact that neither the Yankees or Red Sox ended up with him is monumental.
Johan Santana just landed with the NY Mets for 5 minor league prospects. the long drawn out trade negotiations are over and Mets GM Omar Minyana just came up HUGE.
The Mets now field a handful of young stars including Jose Reyes, David Wright, and the best pitcher on earth. This should make the cross town rivalry with the Yanks interesting.

Clemens
It was obvious that he was a juicer and I hope he gracefully fades away.

Hopefully they can now move on. I think Barry can do good with the A's and hopefully they don't try to suspend him. He stopped using a few years ago.
How was he linked into Duke? Maybe something can happen at UCLA. He would dominate there.
