GMAT

That's comedy. After seeing 5 minutes left on the clock and having only written like one paragraph of my first essay I realized I was in for a fight. I couldn't finish anything. I agree with you on the SAT. Neither test recognizes vision or drive. I think any person who has vision or that will make an effort can always find a way.
Arrogance is sustained overconfidence. I get humbled too much to be consistently overconfident. The test was about mastering a skill and mindset for what B-School thinks people should think have.

DOGG POUND

Arrogant or just Overconfident?

I would assume smart people are always confident that they can roll into a general info test and fly through fairly easy. I wouldn't call it arrogant, just confident. If a smart individual went to take the BAR without studying you may refer to them as arrogant if not.........stooopid.

I fell victim to the same situation when I took the SAT.

The amount you spent, errr threw away, on your GMAT was about the combined score I got after taking it 3 times. I never prepared or cared.

Everyone I've know who has taken the GMAT said they didnt know what they were getting into.

A donation to my arrogance

I took the GMAT yesterday and got crushed.
I've been studying(kind of) but I guess not effectively.
I probably finished like only 65% of the test.
I basically just gave my arrogance $250.

The test is more about skill than it is about knowledge. I prepared for the latter.
Hence, I must study differently this time and am seeking revenge.

When I say I got crushed, I mean I threw my scores out the window over the San Mateo Bridge on the way home from the test.
.
Best study method:
Do as many problems as fast as can in 30 minutes, and write an essay every day.
Maintain regimen for 2 months and all good.

A white valedictorian at Morehouse

Shouts out to this guy.
He is the first and a trailblazer.
I wonder why an all A's white dude would go to Morehouse.

Clifton Smith to the Bucs

Tampa signed him to a free agent contract after inviting him up to mini-camp.
He showed out.

They know! They know!

Name to remember

The best undrafted free agents are signed right away.

The overlooked ones are fortunate to score tryouts somewhere.

But Fresno State running back Clifton Smith made the most of his. The Buccaneers brought him to Tampa for last weekend’s rookie minicamp and the 5-foot-9, 192-pound Smith made such an impression that the Buccaneers signed him Monday to a free-agent contract.

The Buccaneers believe Smith, Fresno State’s team MVP last season, could be a sleeper, helping them not only in the backfield but in the return game. Last season, Smith averaged 14.4 yards per punt return.

Of course, it’s a long way from now until the final cuts, but for now, Tampa Bay is encouraged.
